    Hi Paul,
I really enjoyed the video Future Learning Mini Documentary. How do we motivate students? There seems to be a lack of authentic inquiry directed solely by students for students. We as educators have the responsibility to align with curriculum documents and ensure that we can assess and tick all of the boxes etc. How can we make learning and inquiry methods more authentic in our schools? The Personal Projects, Exhibitions and Passion based projects seem to allow this freedom to explore concepts of personal interest to students, which in turn motivates students. Its the skills required to be thorough inquirers and access information with a research mindset that has become the teacher’s role. We need to scaffold, assist and direct students on the path to genuine inquiry. Assisting our students with the skills to become information literate and decode, search, and find answers to their own questions.

    There’s my take anyway.
Looking forward to hearing more about your 3 day course.
Enjoy what’s left of the holidays.
    Jade
